About Jade

Jade Reilly is a criminologist and author who draws on her unique professional experience to explore the darker side of the human psyche.

Her insight into criminal behaviour has evolved through more than a decade working in social policy and as a coronial advisor, specialising in domestic and family violence deaths.

Jade is a graduate of the Curtis Brown novel-writing course and has been awarded two residences at Varuna, the National Writer’s House. She was selected for a Kill Your Darlings mentorship with Candice Fox in 2025 and was previously mentored by British crime writer, William Shaw.

Her first novel explores the human impact of violence against women, intergenerational trauma and family secrets.

Jade lives in rural Australia with her husband and their two children.
